  • The last step is to determine if you wish OpenC247 to be the supplier of AVCS and/or ADP/ENP products.

Note: click Decide Later to skip this step if you do not intend for OpenC247 to be the supplier of digital products or wish to enter the details at a later date.

  • Click Finish once you have completed the form. The vessel will now appear under the Fleet section. This will now also be the first screen you see when subsequently logging in.

Users can Request Credits via an invoice for payment or via Pay Now using a credit / debit card. Pay Now credits will appear in your account instantly. Requested Credits will only appear once the invoice has been paid and the monies received into the OpenC247.com bank account. Users can credit an account with any value they choose. Alternatively users may chose to make all purchases via credit / debt card. If you try and place an order with insufficient funds available in your OpenC247.com account then you will receive a warning to this effect.

Updating Digital Charts & Publications Managing your weekly updates

Users who have allocated OpenC247.com as their ADMRALTY digital supplier will have complete visibilty of their current holding automatically.

By selecting the Vessel > Products > ADMIRALTY Digital you will have a graphical representation of your holdings.

Cells which are valid for more than a month are displayed in blue. Cells displayed in yellow are due to expire at the end of the current month. Please note that you can only repurchase cells that are due to expire in the current month.

OpenC247.com provides the AVCS users with two types of update data. Base or Weekly updates.

To receive the updates, first select the vessel you wish to work with from the fleet view and click on it.

Please ensure that the service is Active for the AVCS / ADP / AENP. If it is not, please request the activation via the Edit Vessel menu. See support item Editing a Vessel for full details.

From the left menu, select Corrections > Digital > AVCS and then the type of correction you require.

Base files contain the full update information since the issue of the cell. Due to this the update size can be mucch larger than weekly update file. Where the cell has been issued after you latest AVCS DVD you will need the Base update initially.

Weekly update files are "delta" files, meaning they only contain the changes since the last update set. These file types are much smaller.

Once your items and date period are selected, click next to understand the size of the data download.

Your Correction information will be emailed to you account address and also made available for download.

The same process applies for ADMIRALTY digital publication updates.

OpenC247.com provides two ways to receive your update information Email or Download. Please chose the method that best suits your comms systems or working practices. The data is the same in both instances.

OpenC247.com users may import folios that are in MicroSoft Excel spreadsheets.

To create a folio within Microsoft Excel, the information must be formatted as shown in the above image - Column 1 must contain the chart number. You may use the prefix if you have it, or by default all charts wil be imported as BA charts. For ADMIRALTY Publications the first column must contain the publication number and if available any brackets.

Please save the file as a .csv file format.

To import a folio for correction, please select the vessel you wish to import the folio for. Then select Corrections > Paper > Charts (or Publications) and use the Import Folio button to import your folio information. You can import folios in either ".txt" / ".csv" / or ".chs" format.

Please note that OpenC247.com will export folio information in ".txt" format, however to simplify importing, as mentioned above a very basic MS Excel document saved as ".csv" can be used.

After you have imported your folio or selected the items you wish to receive corrections for, select the date period required from the bottom left hand side of the screen.

Once your items and date period are selected, click next to understand the size of the correction download.

Click Download to proceed, where you will be advised of the cost.

Click Confirm to accept the charges and start the download. Your corrections will be emailed to your designated account and also made available as a download.

Paper publication corrections are displayed cummulatively, i.e. a correction supplement for each publication containing every correction from the time the publication was issued. This can be extremely useful if you have purchased a paper publication which was not sold "corrected" by your supplier. Cummulative corrections also remove the requirement of NP247(A/B). It also removes the need for "cut & paste" and ensure no corrections are missed.

To receive corrections for your paper publications, import your folio or select the publications you wish to receive correction data for. Since you are going to receive cummulative corrections there is no option to select a start from date.

Click Next to understand the size of the data download.

Click Download to proceed, where you will be advised of the cost.

Click Confirm to accept the charges and start the download. Your corrections will be emailed to your designated account and also made available as a download.

    Navigational Warnings Navigational Warning information

Navigational Warning updates are available for all 21 regions.

You will be advised of any applicable charges and if you are still happy to proceed, click Confirm.
